Integrated Geophysical Study of the Collision Between the North China Craton and the Yangtze Craton and Its Links With Craton Lithospheric Thinning

Unlike stable cratons elsewhere in the world, lithosphere is strongly thinned east of both North China Craton (NCC) and Yangtze (YZC) compared with west. We deployed four active-source onshore-offshore wide-angle seismic survey lines eastern NCC YZC from 2010 to 2016 aim revealing mechanism lithospheric thinning process collision between YZC. obtained high-resolution crustal P-wave velocity models for based on forward modeling, travel-time tomography, finite-difference wave-field modeling. Based our integrated geophysical study previous work, we propose a five-stage model NCC, different dominant geodynamic mechanisms each stage.
